Statement of Faith
-
We believe the Bible is God’s message to humanity. It includes the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments and is completely trustworthy in what it teaches. It is our final authority for what we believe and how we live.
(Deuteronomy 29:29; Luke 24:44; John 10:35; II Timothy 3:15-16; II Peter 1:21; 3:16)
-
We believe there is one true God who is living and personal. He is perfect in every way and is the Creator and Sustainer of everything. God exists eternally in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—and is worthy of our worship and obedience. He is in control of all things, including creation, history, and salvation.
(Genesis 1:1; Matthew 28:19; John 4:24; John 5:26; I Corinthians 8:4; II Corinthians 13:14; Colossians 1:16-17)
-
We believe God the Father rules over everything according to His will. He is the Creator of all people and is a loving, spiritual Father to those who are born again through His Spirit. He works all things according to His purposes yet still holds people responsible for their choices. From eternity, He has chosen to save and adopt as His children all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.
(Genesis 1:1-31; Psalm 103:19; Psalm 145:8-9; I Chronicles 29:11; Habakkuk 1:13; John 1:12; John 8:38-47; Romans 8:14,15; Romans 11:36; I Corinthians 8:6; 2 Corinthians 6:18; Galatians 4:5; Ephesians 1:4-6,11; Ephesians 3:9; Hebrews 12:5-9; I Peter 1:17)

We believe Jesus Christ is both fully God and fully human. He has always existed with the Father and the Holy Spirit. He was born of the virgin Mary and came as the promised Savior. Jesus lived a perfect life and died in our place to pay for our sins. He rose physically from the dead, returned to heaven, and now reigns with God the Father. One day, He will return to earth to establish His eternal kingdom.
(Isaiah 7:14-15, 9:6-7, Psalm 110, Matthew 1:11-25, 22:41-46; John 1:1; Acts 4:12; Romans 3:25, 8:34; I Corinthians 15:3,20; Philippians 2:5-11; I Timothy 2:6; Hebrews 1:13; 2:17, 4:14-16; I Peter 2:22; 3:22; I John 2:1, 4:9-10; Revelation 3:21)
-
We believe the Holy Spirit is fully God and works in the world today. He points people to Jesus, shows us our need for forgiveness, and brings new life to those who trust in Christ. He lives within believers, assures them of their salvation, and helps them understand the Bible. He also gives strength to grow in holiness, turn from sin, and live lives that reflect God’s character.
(John 3:5-8; 14:16, 26; 15:26; 16:7-14; Acts 1:8; Acts 5:3-4; Romans 12:1-6; I Corinthians 2:9-12; I Corinthians 3:16; I Corinthians 12:3-13, 28-31; Galatians 5:16-25; Ephesians 1:13,14)
-
We believe every person is created in the image of God and has inherent value. However, when Adam first disobeyed God, sin entered the world, bringing separation from God and both spiritual and physical death. Since then, every person has sinned in thought, word, and action. Because of this, we all stand accountable before God and are unable to save ourselves. Jesus is the only one who can rescue us from sin and restore our relationship with God.
(Genesis 1:26-27; Genesis 2:7; Matthew 5:20-48; John 3:36; Romans 2:6-16; Romans 5:12-21; Romans 6:23)
-
We believe salvation is a free gift from God. It cannot be earned through good works but is given by God’s grace. It is made possible through Jesus’ death on the cross, where He paid the penalty for our sins. A person receives this gift by trusting in Jesus alone—believing in His death and resurrection and accepting Him as Savior. Through salvation, we are forgiven, made right with God, given the Holy Spirit, and promised eternal life; we become adopted into God’s family.
(Ezekiel 36:25-27; John 1:12-29; John 3:16; Acts 3:19; Acts 16:31; Romans 3:21-28; 10:9; I Corinthians 15:3-4; Ephesians 2:8-9; Philippians 1:6; I Thessalonians 4:16-17; Hebrews 2:17; I John 4:9-10)

We believe that God created two genders, male and female, and that marriage is a lifelong commitment between one man and one woman. We believe that sexual relationships are designed by God to exist within marriage. We also believe that every human life is valuable because it is made in God’s image. Life begins at conception, and every unborn child is a human being worthy of care and protection.
